[15th May, 2025] \u2013 The National Parties Alliance (NPA) today announced the revocation of membership and expulsion of Hon. Nathaniel Garang Barach Aduotdit and the party faction he purports to lead, the Real Sudan People Liberation Movement and Army (R-SPLM\/A). This decision stems from a series of violations and actions by Mr. Aduotdit that fundamentally conflict with the core principles and objectives of the NPA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The NPA, an alliance dedicated to fostering mutual respect and developing a coherent legislative agenda among its member parties, has determined that Mr. Aduotdit\u2019s conduct and approach are incompatible with the cooperative and democratic values of the alliance. The integrity of our collective efforts is paramount, and any tendencies toward authoritarianism or actions that undermine these efforts cannot be tolerated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the primary concerns leading to this decision is Mr. Aduotdit\u2019s continued use of a party name, “Real Sudan People Liberation Movement and Army (R-SPLM\/A),” that is confusingly similar to the “R-SPLM” associated with Gen. Pagan Amum, who maintains his claim to the chairmanship of that entity. Mr. Aduotdit has failed to differentiate his claimed party adequately, leading to ambiguity and potential misrepresentation. This lack of clarity is one of several issues contributing to this expulsion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The NPA emphasizes that disciplinary issues involving a single member must not impede the collective progress of the alliance. Consequently, the NPA has unanimously agreed to expel Hon. Nathaniel Garang Barach Aduotdit and his faction. Henceforth, he and his group will no longer hold any representation within the NPA and will operate solely as an independent entity. The NPA unequivocally distances itself from Mr. Aduotdit’s behavior and affirms that he should not be considered a representative of the alliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The decision to take this action was precipitated by Mr. Aduotdit’s disrespectful communication style, notably evident during recent meetings where his authoritarian tone was deemed detrimental to the NPA’s goals. Furthermore, his attempts to manipulate an already tense political situation demonstrated a clear desire to silence dissenting opinions and advance his personal agenda without due consideration for its broader implications. Such behavior reflects a profound misunderstanding of democratic principles and collaborative governance. Instead of fostering cooperation, Mr. Aduotdit chose to dictate orders, thereby disregarding the egalitarian nature of our alliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The National Parties Alliance believes firmly that political discourse should be respectful and constructive. A clear understanding of the political landscape is vital for all members to effectively achieve our shared objectives. Mr. Aduotdit\u2019s actions have been contrary to these foundational tenets.
As a result of these persistent issues and violations, the National Parties Alliance has officially terminated its partnership with Hon. Nathaniel Garang Barach Aduotdit and his claimed R-SPLM\/A faction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
