Iran has openly threatened retaliation against American interests. Iranian state media and IRGC-affiliated Telegram channels have since amplified calls for \u201cjihad\u201d against American targets, including reposting old footage of the 1983 Beirut barracks bombing and the 2020 al-Asad airbase missile attack\u2014both attributed to Iran or its proxies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
